The request of the Social Democrats was approved this Wednesday in the Committee on Budget and Finance by all members, said the vice-president of the committee, Social Democrat Hugo Carneiro.
In the request for the study, PSD asks the UTAO of the Assembly of the Republic to “estimate the multi-year budgetary impact (cumulative and net of tax effects on IRS and Social Security contributions)” of the lost time count for teachers, as well as for “all other professions in the public service,” ensuring equity and equality between professions.”
In the request, the PSD accuses the government of a “lack of transparency” in the specific case of teachers, but points out that, according to some data provided by the executive and trade unions, the party is assessing the consequences of reinstating the six-year tenure. , six months and 23 days “in the amount of between 250 and 300 million euros.”
