About 20 hooded men attacked Leixões fans on Wednesday afternoon after a women’s volleyball match between Matosinhos and Vitoria de Guimarães.
According to a PSP source, the attack took place near the Nave de Matosinhos pavilion. When authorities arrived, the attackers had already fled, so agents identified only two victims, in this case two Leixoes fans who were attacked but refused treatment at the hospital.
According to what has been established, despite the game between Leixões and the Vitória sports club, there are suspicions that the ambush was retaliation by “random” fans of FC Porto due to the incidents that occurred at the Estádio do Mar stadium. , in a football match between Leixões and FC Porto B, counting for Liga 2, on October 1.
