Four people were injured, one of them seriously, in a violent two-vehicle collision on the A5 on Monday morning.
For what CM As it turned out, one of the cars involved in the accident overturned, and the other was thrown off the road.
Of those injured in the crash, three were trapped in the abandoned vehicle, including a child who suffered minor injuries. The other two people in the car were the mother, who suffered minor injuries, and the child’s grandmother, who was in serious condition. The driver of the other car suffered minor injuries.
The accident occurred at 9:55 a.m. in the Lisbon-Cascais direction, near the Bicess exit.
Following the initial alarm, 26 operatives were mobilized to the scene, including firefighters from Carcavelos, Parede, Estoril, INEM and GNR.
An evacuation vehicle from Carcavelos firefighters was also called.
