Three men were arrested on Tuesday in Porto as part of a police operation at the Champions League match between Porto and Antwerp, PSP said.
The PSP statement explains that the man was detained on suspicion of qualified disobedience for failure to comply with an order banning access to sports facilities.
A man was also arrested on suspicion of manufacturing counterfeit goods, and another was arrested on suspicion of assault on physical integrity.
The detainees, the PSP indicates, will appear before the judicial authorities.
This operation, carried out in the areas of concentration, entertainment, accommodation and routes, as well as in the sports complex of FC Porto, the text says, “fulfilled its objectives”, ensuring “the maintenance of public order, guaranteeing the security measures necessary for the game , stopping or resolving situations and activities that give rise to violence, and regulating traffic.”
Porto beat Antwerp 2-0 in Matchday 4 of Group H of the Champions League at the Dragao Stadium to move level with Barcelona at the top of the group.
The blue and white emblem now has nine points, the same as leader Barcelona and three more than Shakhtar Donetsk, which again entered the fight for qualification with an unexpected victory over the Catalans (1-0).
