Portugal already knows it will not face Germany, Belgium, Spain, France and England in the Euro 2024 group stage, which will take place in Germany from June 14 to July 14 next year. These five giants, like the national team, will be seeded in the draw on December 2, meaning they will not be able to face each other. Kinas’ team is confident it won’t have to face a handful of other title contenders early on.
The final stage of the European Championship will be attended by 24 teams, divided into six groups. The first two in each group and the four best third-place teams will advance to the round of 16.
Italy, Slovenia and the Czech Republic this Monday joined the list of qualifying countries for Euro 2024 (see infographic). This Tuesday, Croatia and Wales will compete for the final qualifying spot. Three places remain, which will be awarded in the playoffs scheduled for March next year. Access to this stage will be given to the teams that have shown the best results in Leagues A, B and C of the last Nations League.
