According to a Civil Protection source, a fire broke out this Sunday in a large warehouse belonging to a toy company in Montijo, Setubal district. 62 employees took part in extinguishing the fire.
A source at the Subregional Command for Emergency Situations and Civil Protection of the Setubal Peninsula told Lusa that the fire, which was alerted at 5:57 a.m., engulfed a warehouse belonging to Interplay, a company that sells toys.
For what CM detected, fire remains active but contained.
According to the same source, the fire was active at 9:00.
The warehouse is located on the so-called Estrada do Pau Queimado street in Montijo, he explained.
In addition to the Interplay warehouse, the fire also destroyed a warehouse belonging to an energy drink company and another warehouse belonging to the Padel sports complex.
In addition to the PNR, operatives and resources from the fire brigades of Montijo, Alcochete, Seixal, Casillas, Moita, Pinhala Novo, Barreiro, Aguas de Moura, Chanha and Palmela are participating in the fight against the flames.
A total of 27 vehicles are involved in the operations.
