A 45-year-old man died this Sunday in a collision between a motorcycle and a car that occurred near Azeitan in the municipality of Setúbal, sources from Civil Protection and GNR said.
The accident, as a source at the Subregional Command for Emergency Situations and Civil Protection of the Setúbal Peninsula told Lusa, occurred around 13:00 on Estrada Nacional (EN) 370, near Azeitán.
The same source said the deceased was a motorcycle driver and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A source from the Setúbal territorial command contacted by Lusa said the deceased was a 45-year-old man.
The rescue operations involved 22 operators from the Setúbal Fire Service, the Portuguese Red Cross and the GNR, supported by eight vehicles, including a VMER ambulance.
