A 63-year-old man died this afternoon in Bajuca, Leiria, while doing maintenance work on an agricultural tractor. It will be captured by the power lever and the drive shaft of the gun.
The alarm came in at 1:17 p.m. Firefighters from Leiria were mobilized to the scene with medical support and an ambulance from the Immediate Life Support (SIV) service of the National Institute of Emergency Medicine (INEM).
The victim was unconscious and did not respond to resuscitation measures to which he was subjected by ambulance and pre-hospital service personnel, while death was confirmed by an INEM doctor at the scene.
Since everything happened near the victim’s home, the family watched everything and were in shock. They were treated on site and are being monitored by members of the Center for Psychological Support and Crisis Intervention (CAPIC), an activated INEM team.
The relief operations involved 16 operators with six vehicles from the fire department, INEM and GNR, who took over the investigation into the accident which resulted in the death of a 63-year-old man.
