During the Christmas season, expect days of partly cloudy to clear skies, with large clouds until mid-morning, especially in the northern and central parts of the country. Yellow warnings for cold weather are also in effect in Bragança and Guarda from 00:00 Saturday until 09:00 Christmas Day. Fog conditions should extend to areas of the Central and Southern regions early on the 25th and 26th, IPMA said.
The institute also warns of the need to exercise caution regarding road safety, especially at night and in the morning, which is likely to be affected by icy roads and fog.
