The GNR Territorial Command of Porto on Thursday confiscated more than 1,500 counterfeit goods at the monthly fair in the municipality of Pacos de Ferreira, it became known this Saturday.
In a statement, GNR said that as part of an inspection at the site of the monthly fair, the military found “several items with the logos of several reputable brands in the market” and whose value could reach 38 thousand euros.
During the action, 380 pairs of sneakers, 1,078 items of clothing, 49 suitcases, nine perfumes and four watches were seized.
The PPR charged four men and two women, ranging in age from 30 to 65 years.
The facts were sent to the Pacos de Ferreira judicial court in the Porto district, GNR adds.
This body recalls that these inspection activities are aimed at “guaranteeing respect for industrial property rights, aimed, in essence, at combating counterfeit products, illegal use of trademarks and the sale of counterfeit products.”
