The father and son, aged 49 and 18, had to be treated in hospital in the early hours of the morning after a house fire in Merelim S. Pedro, Braga.
The fire affected the kitchen of the house, and the family had to move due to smoke. Braga firefighters fought the fire.
The fire alarm was sounded around 11:00 p.m. The blaze reportedly started in the kitchen and quick intervention by firefighters prevented the fire from spreading to the house.
The father and son were still inhaling smoke from the fire and were taken to Braga Hospital after being treated at the scene. The remaining family had to spend the night in the family home.
Residents of Sapadore de Braga were at the scene, supported by volunteer firefighters from Vila Verde.
GNR was also caused.
