The average waiting time for emergency patients exceeded 11:00 at 18:00 this Thursday at the Fernando Fonseca Hospital (Amadora Sintra), with 48 people on the waiting list.
At the Beatriz Angelo Hospital in Loures, waiting times exceeded eight hours, with 52 patients awaiting care, according to the National Health Service (SNS) portal.
The data refers to the average wait time for care over the past two hours, and the number of patients represented corresponds to the number of people currently waiting for care after screening.
The list of hospitals with the longest waiting times at 18:00 also included the Santa Maria Hospital in Lisbon, with a wait of almost six hours (5:46) and 42 people waiting.
Waiting times were five hours at Cascais Hospital and more than three hours at Vila Franca de Xira and San José Hospital in Lisbon.
Of the largest hospitals in the Lisbon region, García de Orta in Almada had a waiting time of less than two hours, and at San Francisco Xavier Hospital it was about three hours.
In the Porto region, waiting times were significantly shorter: in Santo Antonio the wait was one hour and 30 minutes, and in São João it was just over an hour, with 13 people waiting for service.
At the Pedro Espano Hospital in Matosinhos the average wait time was two and a half hours, while in Gaia the wait was less than two hours.
