Sporting have rejected Manchester United’s first offer for Morten Hjulmand, reports British newspaper The Sun.
The team of Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot are closely monitoring the development of the Danish midfielder, hired from Italian Lecce. According to the news, Manchester United have already scouted the 24-year-old six times, both in Europa League and domestic league matches.
In the first option, which was immediately rejected, the Red Devils proposed a swap for 22-year-old Uruguayan striker Facundo Pellistri. This is a player who has appeared in 14 games this season. No goals and one assist.
Sporting tied the deal to Hulman’s release clause, which is set at €80 million. He has a contract until 2028.
The English even used Christian Eriksen, a Danish Manchester United player and close friend, to convince Julman to move to England.
Red Devils coach Erik ten Hag is focusing on midfielder Leo as he believes he will bring the stability the team needs in midfield. The British are preparing a new proposal to convince those responsible for the lion emblem to release Julmand.
