A man was robbed this morning in Cascais. The suspect grabbed him by the neck and reached into the victim’s pocket, managing to pull out a cell phone. After the crime, the robber fled on foot. The victim ran after him and managed to see that the suspect got into a white car. After this, he went to file a complaint with the authorities.
This is just one of the mobile phones that were discovered by the PSP at the Assembly of the Republic in Lisbon, when the driver of a TVDE car stopped next to police officers who were off duty in protest and asked for help, saying that he was transporting two men, suspected in robbery and feared for their lives. PSP officers managed to catch them and take them to the police station.
They were both searched, and two mobile phones were found in one of them in his coat pocket. One of the devices was reported stolen. One of the cell phones is valued at 250 euros, and the other is valued at approximately 320 euros. The suspects are 18 and 22 years old.
“The PSP, even when off duty and in protest, did not stop them from arresting robbers and responding to requests for help,” he told reporters. CM police source.
