A 57-year-old man was seriously injured in a fire that broke out early this Friday morning in a workshop on Vasco da Gama Street in Bagim do Monte, Gondomar.
According to CM In cooperation with the Subregional Command for Emergency Situations and Civil Protection of the Porto Metropolitan Region, a fire broke out in a painting greenhouse and the entire premises were completely destroyed.
The man was the owner of a workshop and was taken to the hospital due to smoke inhalation that damaged his respiratory tract.
Several operatives from the fire brigades of Gondomar, San Pedro da Cova, Valbom and Areosa Rio Tinto were mobilized to the scene.
The GNR were also called and took responsibility for the incident.
The fire alarm was received at 9.00.
