An 18-month-old girl died after an incident at a kindergarten in Alvalade, Lisbon, on Tuesday afternoon. Firefighters, INEM and public security police were at the scene.
The alarm came at 16:20. The PSP confirmed that emergency services were called to the Tortoise and Hare kindergarten for a child about a year old who had suffered a cardiac arrest.
The child was taken to the Santa Maria Hospital in Lisbon, where he died this Wednesday.
In a statement, the Portuguese Association of Parents and Friends of Mentally Ill Citizens of Lisbon confirms that “primary care and subsequent resuscitation measures were carried out simultaneously with contact with INEM.”
