A 17-year-old youth was arrested by the judicial police on suspicion of robbing several couriers from a home delivery platform between April 11 and May 5, 2023, police said this Wednesday.
The SP said in a statement that the detainee, along with three other 16-year-olds, considered not to be criminally responsible due to their age, contacted the platform and asked to deliver orders to various addresses in Campania parish and, as soon as the couriers arrived, approached us and was robbed using a firearm.
“The company and couriers, after repeated episodes of robberies committed by this group and another one liquidated by PS in October 2023, even began to refuse to make deliveries on some streets in the eastern part of Porto,” he said.
The young man is accused of co-authorship of “at least” three crimes of aggravated robbery, one of which was an attempt, the joint venture emphasized.
The detainee, who was referred to the police for crimes against property, was present at the first interrogation and was periodically taken to the police station at his place of residence.
