The candidate Nuno Lobo wishes to urgently meet with the request to postpone the elections to the governing bodies of FC Porto, announced this Thursday one of the two current candidates for the presidency of the country that finished second in national football.
“Our candidate will meet urgently to propose to the President of the Council of the General Assembly (MAG) Lourens Pinto, in view of the instability caused internally (competing teams) and externally (partners), the postponement of the elections on a date that must be agreed with the applications,” the businessman said in the note , sent to the Lusa agency.
On Wednesday, the PSP detained 12 people, including two FC Porto employees and Super Dragões fan Fernando Madureira, as part of an operation to investigate incidents observed at the club’s last extraordinary general assembly.
