By announcing two vacancies today, Portugal has secured three athletes in bocce, four in athletics, four in swimming, two in canoeing and one in cycling, just under 200 days before the start of the Games.
In a statement, the CPP said the body, which oversees Paralympic swimming worldwide, announced “the allocation of two men’s swimming quotas to Portugal at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games,” indicating that “the method of quota allocation is based on qualifying scores.” received by athletes.”
All guaranteed places are non-nominal and will be allocated to athletes based on the selection criteria determined by each sporting federation in conjunction with the CPP.
Portugal was represented at the Tokyo 2020 Games by 33 athletes from eight sports, winning two bronze medals.
