Film producer Armando Guedes da Costa, born in Frende, in the municipality of Bayan, died on Sunday at the age of 84, a family source told Lusa this Wednesday.
Father of film producer Emanuel A.G. (Emanuel Agares-Guedes), Armando Guedes da Costa collaborated with his son, becoming a film producer himself while working in Japan.
Kenjo McCurtain’s Japanese feature film “Pretenders,” which he executive produced, will have its nationwide premiere in the country next April, the family said.
Armando Guedes da Costa was born on February 28, 1939 in Frende, Bayan, graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra and worked as a prosecutor.
According to information provided by the family, he was also a professor at the Catholic University of Braga and taught in the fields of information and communication technology and social sciences.
The funeral will take place on Wednesday afternoon at the San Diniz Cemetery in Vila Real.
