A statement published on the club’s website and signed by the chairman of the General Assembly, Lourenco Pinto, clarifies that polling stations will be open from 9:00 to 20:00, and also clarifies the procedures for nominating candidates.

“In accordance with the provisions and for the purposes of the provisions of Article 51, No. 1 of the Porto Football Club Statutes and Article 2, No. 1 of the Electoral Regulations drawn up in accordance with Article 50 of the above-mentioned Statutes, the members are hereby notified that the next General Assembly called to elect the governing bodies of the Club for the four-year period 2024/2028, will take place on April 27, 2024 at the Dragao Stadium, located at Via Futebol Clube do Porto, in Porto from 9:00 to 20:00.
In accordance with the provisions of paragraphs 1 and 3 of Article 52 of the Porto FC Statutes, applications for participation in the governing bodies must be submitted in the assembly hall of the Porto FC Museum, located at the Dragao Stadium, to the President of the Council of the General Assembly, no later than 30 days before the election, i.e. before 28 March 2024, from 10:00 to 19:00, and be proposed by at least 300 senior lawyers in full. their rights and must be accompanied by conditions for the admission of candidates.
The lists of the Board of the General Assembly, Management, Financial and Disciplinary Council must be uniform, including the names of the respective Presidents, the same happens with the first candidate in the lists of the Supreme Council; The names of the remaining elements must be indicated no later than 10 days before the elections, that is, before April 17, 2024, also accompanied by the corresponding conditions of admission.
Independent lists may be submitted to the High Council, with those elected being determined by the Hondt method.
According to the established conditions, the following passive voting power will be respected:
– Candidates for the post of President of the Council of the General Assembly must have at least 15 years of continuous registration as a Senior Member;
– Candidates for the position of President of the Council must have at least 10 years of continuous registration as a Senior Member;
– Candidates for the position of Chairman of the Financial-Disciplinary Council, Vice-Presidents and members of the Management Board, members of the Financial-Disciplinary Council and members of the Supreme Council must have at least 5 years of continuous registration as a senior member.
