PSP motorcycle anti-violent crime teams were called to a restaurant in Odivelash on Sunday evening to arrest an armed man who held a group of 15 to 20 kidnapped people (customers and employees) inside for several minutes.
The alarm was raised shortly after 22:00 at the restaurant DJUUN, located on Avenida General Rosadas. A man with a holster on his waist and a loaded pistol indiscriminately terrorized customers and employees.
Agents from the Prevention and Immediate Response Team (EPRI) had to use force and managed to restrain and handcuff the man. ABOUT CM discovered that he had a clear mental disorder.
He had with him a pistol with 6.35 mm cartridges in the chamber, ready to fire, a full magazine of 10 rounds and another 8 rounds. The weapon was illegal and was confiscated.
The PSP will present the suspect to court this Monday.
