Fifteen people were arrested on suspicion of belonging to an Israeli criminal gang involved in counterfeiting luxury watches and diamonds outside the European Union. According to the judicial police, “those detained also trafficked cocaine and synthetic drugs and laundered money through complex schemes including cryptocurrencies, illegal banking systems and real estate reinvestment, with suspicion that these activities may also have taken place in Portugal.”
