The bill suggests that in 2030 the sanctions will reach 10 euros per piece, and a ban on advertising of these products will be introduced.
The measure was approved by votes of all deputies and will now go to the Senate.

The company added that if the project is passed into law, it will “increase the purchasing power of French consumers at a time when they are already feeling the impact of the cost of living crisis.”
France’s environment ministry has already announced it will propose a ban on the export of used clothing to the European Union in an attempt to tackle the growing problem of textile waste, the news agency reported.
