The US government recalled this Saturday that it had preliminary information that a “terrorist attack” was being planned in Russia and that it had shared the warning with Russian authorities.
“Earlier this month, the US government received information about a planned terrorist attack in Moscow, potentially targeting large gatherings, including concerts, prompting the State Department to issue a public warning to Americans in Russia,” he wrote. National Security Council Press Secretary Adrienne Watson on social media X.
A spokeswoman for the National Security Council stressed that “the US government also shared this information with Russian authorities in accordance with its long-standing duty to warn policy.”
