Leader President of the PSD in the Municipal Assembly of Porto, Miguel Corte-Real, defends courses for TVDE drivers from Muslim countries.
The municipality must ensure the “social and cultural integration” of drivers by providing “courses on the role and rights of women in the West,” he argues on Facebook. Another goal is to improve the level of service and safety for passengers.
In addition to courses on women’s rights, Miguel Corte-Real advocates “teaching the history and identity of the country” and Portuguese language courses for foreign drivers. “The municipality of Porto could take the lead in this matter,” he argues.
The Social Democrat is one of seven PSD activists and former activists who signed a manifesto asking party president Luis Montenegro to conclude a government agreement with Chega, the third party to receive the most votes in the legislative elections.
