Antonio Ventura’s 100th birthday on Tuesday was made even more special by a visit from PSP agents from Ovara. The team from the “Support 65 – Elderly in Safety” program surprised an elderly man with a birthday cake and a bouquet of flowers. At the end, the agents and the elderly man’s family sang congratulations.
“I never thought that I would have “boys” like the PSP agents in Ovar as friends. I think I deserve it! I have always been a hardworking person, I have had a very hard life, I have never harmed anyone, there is no one who can point a finger at me,” Antonio Ventura emotionally assured.
“There are elderly people who are isolated, and their risk factors force the PSP to take more active measures to identify and identify such cases,” said Vitor Souza, program manager for the Support 65 – Elderly Safer program. “I am honored to spend time with these citizens and have the opportunity to celebrate these special dates. By providing this kind of support, we also feel happier,” adds André Rasteiro, head of the Ovara police station.
