Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa’s son resigns from the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce in Sao Paulo

Nuno Rebelo de Sousa, son of Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, left his post as president of the Sao Paulo Portuguese Chamber of Commerce in April, a position he held for five years. The politician resigned mid-term.

According to the information published on the Linkedin profile of the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce of São Paulo, the post of president of the institution has now been taken over by Karen Vilela, who took office on April 25, thus becoming the first female president of the institution.

Karen Vilela has already served as Vice-President and President of the Women’s Business and Culture Committee, leading several successful campaigns and events.

The institution also announced that Karen Vilela, a sommelier trained by the Court Master Sommelier, works as a wine teacher at The Wine School Brasil and as the CEO of Portus Cale. She is also a founding partner of Got Wine?

The profile of the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce of São Paulo on the Instagram platform published on Wednesday that the new president had already received representatives of the European Chambers last week for a meeting with Rupert Schlegelmilch, the chief negotiator of the European Union.

Recall that Marcelo Rebelo de Souza said that he broke off relations with his son because of Nuno’s participation in the case of twins who were treated at the Santa Maria Hospital.
