Three hooded men armed with retractable batons robbed a house in Quinta da Torre Bela in Vila Nova de Gaia at 2am this Saturday.
Two residents of the house, an elderly couple, were abducted. The victims were surprised when they found themselves in bed and were forced to remain there while the robbery took place.
They witnessed the theft of a safe, jewelry, watches, and silver and gold items. The total cost of the robbery is currently estimated at hundreds of thousands of euros.
Authorities have not yet recorded any arrests. The 77-year-old man and his wife were not injured.
The victims called PSP and the investigation is now set to be handed over to the judicial police.
