The second day of the European campaign begins with action in the South and ends with debate

The second day of the European election campaign will begin on Tuesday with the leaders of the main political forces focusing their activities in the South, with visits, protests and rallies, culminating in a debate on the RTP.

Candidates from PS, AD, Chega, BE, CDU, Livre and PAN will go head to head on public television starting at 9pm in the only debate that brings all political forces together with parliamentary representation.

Before this, the head of the PS list, Marta Temido, will visit the works of the Blue Hub School project in Paço de Arcos, in Oeiras.

According to the website, Blue Hub School has as its primary goal the creation and promotion of a true ecosystem of networked infrastructures and skills for the Blue Economy, strengthening the connection between higher and non-tertiary education within the Blue Economy.

Sebastian Bugalho, head of the AD list, will be in the Lisbon region in the morning.

The AD candidate will meet with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Champalimaud Foundation, Leonor Beleza.

Chega, who began her election campaign in the southwest of Alentejo, will end up in the Algarve, and riots will begin on the streets of Olhão.

During the debate on the RTP, in which the head of the party’s list, António Tangier Correa, will take part, Chega has planned a dinner in Tavira, which will be attended by Andre Ventura.

In turn, the head of the IL list, Joao Cotrim de Figueiredo, will have lunch in Lisbon at 13:00. Party President Rui Rocha will also be present at the event.

BE will also travel around the capital today.

The head of the bloc list, Catarina Martins, and the party coordinator, Mariana Mortagua, will take part in a discussion meeting on the theme “Women for Peace in the European Parliament” with the participation of Teresa Coutinho, Pilar del Rio, Luisa Costa Gomez and Shahd Wadi.

The head of the Livre list, Francisco Pauperio, will visit the União Zoófila in Lisbon to “get acquainted with the facilities and the work carried out by the association.”

The Unitary Democratic Coalition (CDU), formed by the PCP and the environmentalist party “Os Verdes”, will pass through Sintra and Amadora.

The head of the CDU list, João Oliveira, will travel by train from Algheiran station to Reboleira station.

Number one on the PAN list, Pedro Fidalgo Márquez, will take part in the action for the transport of live animals by sea in the port of Sines in Setúbal. According to the party, the initiative should also be accompanied by the presence of press secretary Ines de Souza Real.

Some 373 million European voters are called upon to vote for the European Parliament between 6 and 9 June. In Portugal, voting will take place on the 9th.
