Two people were killed and three were injured in a collision between a car and a light truck on the EN10 highway in the direction of Zamora Correia – Vila Franca de Xira, at kilometer 112 this Wednesday. The movement is alternate.
The fatalities were a 50-year-old woman, who died at the scene, and a 60-year-old woman, who died in hospital. They were both expats in France and on holiday in Zamora Correia. Three were injured: the truck driver, his son and another man. All three were taken to hospital in Vila Franca de Xira.
The alarm was received at 16:59. 22 firefighters from Zamora Correia and Vila Franca de Xira are on the scene, supported by nine vehicles. Contacts were also made with the VMER of the Vila Franca de Xira Hospital and the GNR.
