This Wednesday, Portugal begins preparations for Saturday’s friendly against Croatia, which will serve as a test of the Euro 2024 finals, and hosts Prime Minister Luis Montenegro in Cidade do Futebol in Oeiras.
Following Tuesday’s 4-2 win over Finland, the team scheduled a session for 5 p.m., the first 15 minutes of which will be open to the media.
As is usually the case in post-match training, the outfield players who have played the most minutes against the Finns should be spared and only given rehabilitation work, as happened with Joao Neves, Joao Cancelo, Vitinha and Francisco Conceição.
Also at 17:00, according to the official schedule of the Prime Minister, Luis Montenegro will visit the Portuguese national team.
The Portugal-Croatia match will take place at 17:45 at the National Stadium in Jamora and will be refereed by German Harm Osmers.
Before heading to Germany, the country that organizes the European Championship, the Portuguese team will also meet the Irish Republic on June 11 in Aveiro.
At Euro 2024, Portugal will play in Group F along with the Czech Republic (June 18, in Leipzig), Turkey (June 22, in Dortmund) and Georgia (June 26, in Gelsenkirchen).
Euro 2024 will take place from June 14 to July 14.
