A workers’ plenary convened by the Union of Aviation and Airport Workers (Sitava) this Wednesday approved the company’s proposal, which includes a reduction in wage cuts from 25% to 20%, Paulo Duarte of the union structure told Lusa.
“Today we had a very crowded plenary session attended by over 600 people and what was on the table was everyone’s dissatisfaction because we have cutbacks,” he assured, stressing that this issue “should have a solution “.
The leader of the union said that “a plenary meeting was scheduled and a lot of agitation was expected, but at the last moment a proposal from the TAR came up” which came “in a way” to meet what the workers wanted, “and therefore the plenary approved these measures.”
“There are measures that are common to all, reducing the reduction to 20%, and there are those that affect the working conditions of farmers,” he stressed, citing issues related to night and overtime work, for which there were reductions, not more. , among other things.
However, “there is no salary table update” given that TAP has terminated the company’s agreements.
“The underlying principle behind this is that since TAP workers are receiving cuts [salariais] the market is looking for them and many people leave. Thus, the mechanisms for retaining the PVR were found,” he added.
According to Paulo Duarte, after the proposal is approved, the company does not expect any struggle.
