Six cases of tuberculosis have been confirmed at the Higher Institute of Police Sciences and Internal Security (ISCPSI) in Lisbon, where future PSP officers are trained. All cases were reported in less than a month, with one student hospitalized.
An official source in the PSP confirmed six cases of tuberculosis, assuring that “four of them have already been cured and two more are “still active.” For the latter two, one was asymptomatic and the other was hospitalized. to the Armed Forces Hospital, but this is not a serious case.”
The same source adds that “the situation was immediately reported to the health authorities who are monitoring the case but did not order any large-scale screening as all personnel assigned to ISCPSI are vaccinated against the disease.”
