Four armed hooded men pretend to be police officers and try to steal cocaine

The armed attack by four hooded men on Thursday morning at the Mercado Abastecedor da Região de Lisboa (MARL) warehouse in Lures was swift. They were looking for boxes of bananas, which, according to judicial police, could contain cocaine. The victims noticed one detail and told GNR: the thieves were wearing black vests with the word “PSP” written on them.

Investigation of crimes such as CM As reported in a timely manner, belongs to the National Judicial Police Unit for Combating Drug Trafficking (UNCTE/PJ). Inspectors are now trying to verify the veracity of the reports, which, as you know, CM, were collected by the PPR patrol, which was initially called to the crime scene. The thieves appeared to speak unaccented Portuguese and were armed. They persistently asked for boxes of bananas, suggesting they had information that a shipment of cocaine might be at the location. They eventually fled empty-handed using a stolen car, apparently threatening a man who had arrived minutes earlier with a gun.

In addition to investigating a possible international drug trafficking network (remember, placing cocaine in boxes of imported fruit is common), UNCTE/PJ is now trying to determine the reason for the use of suspected imitation security force vests.
