The President of Mozambique, Filipe Nyusi, received this Wednesday congratulations from the United States of America, the United Nations, the United Arab Emirates and India on the occasion of the country’s 49th anniversary of independence, which was celebrated on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken congratulated the people of Mozambique on the 49th anniversary of independence, also highlighting the partnership between both countries in “vital” areas such as health, climate change, deforestation, security and education.
United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres also congratulated the people of Mozambique on 49 years of independence, highlighting the country’s efforts to maintain peace and combat climate change.

As we celebrate this important day, let us commit ourselves to building a better future for the people of the Republic. India emphasized the importance of cooperation between the two countries, expressing interest in strengthening this cooperation.

The United Arab Emirates also welcomed Mozambique’s 49th anniversary of independence and expressed its desire to see the country prosper through strengthened economic cooperation.
