Swimming ban lifted at Azarujinha Beach in Cascais

The ban on swimming at Azarujinha beach in the municipality of Cascais was lifted this Friday after water quality tests showed that microbiological indicators were normal, the National Maritime Authority (ANM) reported.

“After a new analysis of the water quality at Azarujinha Beach was carried out, the Portuguese Environmental Protection Agency (APA) reported that the result of the analysis indicated that the microbiological indicators were within the quality standards,” the note can be read. released by AMN.

Taking into account the results of the tests and in accordance with the instructions of the Regional Health Directorate of Lisbon and Vale do Tejo, the ban on swimming on this beach was lifted and instructions were given to raise the green flag on the beach again, the same source further explained.

Azarujinha Beach is located in São João do Estoril, in the municipality of Cascais, Lisbon district.

On Thursday, the ANM announced that Azaroujinha beach was closed to swimming after water quality tests showed microbiological levels exceeding reference parameters.
