Former US President Barack Obama came out this Friday in defense of current head of state Joe Biden along with former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton after sharp criticism of the Democratic candidate’s performance in Thursday’s debate.
“There are bad debate nights. Believe me, I know. But this election is still a choice between a man who has spent his life fighting for ordinary people and a man who only cares about himself,” Obama wrote on Platform X, comparing Biden to his Republican opponent Donald Trump.
“Between someone who tells the truth, who knows right from wrong and will tell it directly to the American people, and someone who outright lies for their own gain. Last night didn’t change that, and that’s why there’s so much at stake in November,” he concluded.
