In Alcoutim, Algarve, 23.5mm of rain had fallen by 5pm. Trás os Montes was also hit by heavy rain, which flooded the streets of Sabrosa, Chavez and Valpasos.
In Trancoso, the heaviest rain fell at 2:00 PM – 24.5 mm per square meter. Not far away, in Satana, by 3:00 PM it was raining 19.1 mm.
