A six-year-old girl saved her mother’s life after she suffered a stroke at home in Rainworth, Nottingham, UK. Aurora Chilvers was home alone with her mother when she called 911 and explained what was happening. “Mummy can’t move,” the child said, moving forward. Mirror.
The girl called her grandfather when she noticed that her mother was not feeling well. The man called 911, who subsequently contacted the girl, who explained that her mother was breathing but not moving.
“Mom can’t move. But she is breathing. She can’t open her eyes. Her hands are cold,” Aurora told emergency services.
According to the same source, the six-year-old girl continued her explanation, saying that her mother’s tongue was numb and her chest was warm. Eventually, the services arrived and took the woman to the hospital.
Now fully recovered, Aurora’s mother said that when it all happened, the only thing she could do was “move her finger to answer the 112 call,” and her daughter did everything else alone.
The operator who served the girl added that she behaved “exceptionally well during the telephone conversation and responded very well for her age.”
Aurora was awarded the Courage Award by the Emergency Services.
