More than a hundred people connected with the construction business were arrested this Saturday in ten provinces of Turkey affected by earthquakes. Builders are believed to have had some legal responsibility for some buildings allegedly ready to resist the quake that collapsed this Monday and Tuesday.

This Friday in Istanbul, Turkey, Mehmet Yasar Coskun, the builder of a 12-storey building with 250 apartments in the province of Hatay, was arrested, which collapsed as a result of a natural disaster. He is charged with manslaughter and violation of the law on public construction.
