A three-year-old boy was rescued this Sunday from rubble in Kahramanmara province, Turkey. The child spent 159 hours under the rubble of the building. As soon as the rescuers managed to safely remove the child, those present applauded.
IN twitter, Turkish agency Anadolu shared a video of the moment. On the footage, you can see one of the operatives with a boy on his lap.
The brutal natural disaster that rocked Turkey and Syria on Monday and Tuesday has already claimed more than 33,000 lives and 90,000 injured. The death toll is believed to be much higher than recorded so far, due to the fact that many people are still under the rubble and exposed to adverse weather conditions.
