The Formula 1 world calendar includes six sprint races next season out of 24 Grands Prix, the same number as this year.
China, Miami, the USA, Brazil and Qatar will all hold sprint races as they did this year, with the only change being the swap of the Austrian Grand Prix for the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Francorchamps.
In 2025, the model adopted this year is to be maintained: free practice plus sprint qualifying on Friday, the sprint race and qualifying for the main race on Saturday, with Sunday reserved for the race.
Sprint races have seen TV audiences rise, with this weekend’s audience much higher than traditional races, which have free practice on Friday, qualifying on Saturday and racing on Sunday, Formula 1 said in a statement.
