The municipality announced that the access road to Bom Jesus in Braga will be repaired on Wednesday, which will entail a complete closure of traffic from next Monday.
The municipality said in a statement that the work is scheduled to be completed by August 9.
We are talking about a two-kilometre section between the Bom Jesus lift station and Largo Mae de Agua.
The first stage of the work, which will run from Wednesday to Friday, will see the implementation of a preparatory plan using alternating traffic flow. Traffic will be regulated by light indicators “to ensure safe and smooth traffic flow.”
In the second phase, from July 22 to August 9, asphalting works will begin, which will lead to a complete reduction in traffic on the access road to Bom Jesus.
A deviation from the route will be implemented, which will be indicated by the company responsible for the intervention.
The route will be changed via Avenida General Carrilho da Silva Pinto to the Este São Pedro roundabout with access via Alto da Vela.
The work will be carried out on all working days, from 08:00 to 19:00.
