Portuguese canoeist Fernando Pimenta qualified directly for the semi-finals of the 1000m K1 at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris on Wednesday, winning the first round of qualifying events.
Fernando Pimenta, seeking a third Olympic medal and first gold, completed the race in 3.29.76 minutes in the qualifying round, where the top two advance to the semi-finals and the rest to the quarter-finals.
The K1 1000m semi-finals are scheduled for Saturday at 11:10 local time (10:10 Lisbon time), with the main final scheduled for 13:20 (12:20).
