The 46-year-old woman was hit with glass by her 31-year-old partner on Saturday afternoon in the Quinta do Cabrinha area of Lisbon. The alarm was raised at around 3.10pm and the PSP was called to the scene following a complaint of domestic violence.
For what? CM The victim was identified as a fishmonger at the Saldanha fish market and is considered by locals to be a devoted and hardworking woman. He has three children, two boys and a girl, the latter of whom was placed in an orphanage after the death of his grandmother.
Residents said, CM that the woman had lived with her boyfriend for about a year and that the relationship was marked by conflict. Neighbors often heard screams coming from the house.
The victim was taken to San Francisco Xavier Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The attacker was arrested. The case is now under the jurisdiction of the judicial police, which is investigating the circumstances of the crime.
