During the parliamentary recess, the parties have already submitted 17 bills and 26 draft resolutions to the Assembly of the Republic, a total of 43 diplomas.
Since the last plenary session on 18 July, PAN, which has one member of parliament, has been the most active: it is linked to BE as the party that has presented the most bills (six) and to Chega if the bills are adopted (seven). Among the PAN bills, the one that stands out is the one that aims to guarantee access for pets to all beaches in Portugal. Among the Chega draft resolutions, the most relevant is the one that recommends that the government give priority to children of parents working in kindergartens participating in the “Happy Kindergarten” programme.
Livre presented six draft resolutions but no bills, while IL presented three bills – one of them defending that immigrants with one-year discounts can continue to apply for residence permits after their expressions of interest have ceased – and one resolution. The PSD, PS, PCP and CDS did not present any diplomas to Parliament.
