The Judicial Police (PJ) have detained a woman suspected of starting five vehicle fires and two urban fires that occurred in the parishes of Rio Tinto and Bagim do Monte in Gondomar, as announced this Wednesday.
The SP statement said the 40-year-old suspect was arrested at the scene of the crime, and did not give a date for the fires.
The woman was “charged with five crimes of burning a vehicle and two crimes of burning a city in the form of an attempt, in a residential building and in a commercial establishment, endangering communities, other infrastructure and vehicles,” the police describe . .
According to the joint venture, the fire was caused by the use of a combustion accelerator in cars and a homemade artifact known as a “Molotov cocktail”.
With a backstory behind the city fire practice in 2021, the woman will now be presented to the authorities for the first forensic questioning and enforcement action deemed appropriate.
