The Ministry of State (MP) Barreiro charged an 18-year-old boy with 12 crimes of child sexual abuse. The victim was an underage girl who became pregnant from a sexual predator.
According to the prosecution, the crimes were committed between September and December 2021. At just 13 years old, the minor began dating her abuser, who was 16 at the time, on a field next to the school she attended in Barreiro. After several sexual relationships between them, the girl became pregnant and a child was born in August 2022. Upon learning that she was pregnant, the girl moved in with the defendant.
The young woman’s family filed a complaint in the Loures district and the investigation was referred to the judicial police. Now the sex offender is awaiting trial.
