Four people have been arrested after the dismembered body of model Abby Choi was found this Friday in a house in a village in Hong Kong, on China’s south coast.
Among those arrested is the victim’s 28-year-old ex-husband, who was caught trying to leave the city on a boat, authorities said, cited by BBC News. The parents and older brother of the man were also detained.
The model has been missing since Tuesday, last seen in Kowloon. Abby Choi’s remains, with the exception of her head, will be found three days later in a refrigerator in a house in Lung Mei village in Tai Po District, about 27 kilometers from where she was last seen. An electric saw, a meat grinder and clothing were also found at the scene.
The crime will be based on financial disputes involving large sums of money.
